The European Social Welfare Information Network (ESWIN) is a network that
enables professionals to obtain secondary and tertiary information on

network has a website which enhances access to information from member

welfare systems, key resources and professional bodies active in the area.

EURONET-The
European children's Network
A coalition of networks and organisations campaigning for the
interests and rights of children (defined in the 1989 UN Convention on the
Rights of the Child as all persons under 18 years of age). They share a
common concern that children as a group are 'invisible' within the
European Union and that the EU develops legislation, policy, and
programmes without taking sufficient - or in many cases any - account of
children's rights or interests.

The European Network of Ombudsmen for Children (ENOC) was formally
established in June 1997, at a meeting in Trondheim, Norway. The Network
links independent offices for children from twelve countries in Europe.
Its aims are to encourage the fullest possible implementation of the
Convention on the Rights of the child, to support collective lobbying for
childrens rights, to share information, approaches and strategies, and
to promote the development of effective independent offices for children.

Community Action Programme to combat discrimination 2001-2006.
The Action Programme supports activities combating discrimination on
grounds of racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or
sexual orientation. Its priorities are: analysis and evaluation,
developing the capacity to combat and prevent discrimination, and raising

European
commission against racism and intolerance [ECRI]
ECRI's task is to combat racism, xenophobia, antisemitism and
intolerance at the level of greater Europe and from the perspective of the
protection of human rights.
The
European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC)
was established in 1997 by the European Union as an independent body
to contribute to combat racism, xenophobia and anti-semitism throughout
Europe.
The EUMC works with the Council of Europe, the United Nations and other
international organisations.
It will set up a European Racism and Xenophobia Information Network
(RAXEN).
RAXEN wich will be an instrument for collecting and collating data and
statistics from the National level to a central unit of the EUMC. The EUMC
will on this basis develop a European database for conducting research,
disseminate information and implementing knowledge transfer in the field
of racism, xenophobia and anti-semitism.
The
European Committee on Romani Emancipation (ECRE)
provides a non-exclusive and neutral representation for concerned
European citizens wishing to improve the conditions of Roma (Gypsies)
within the European Union, as well as in countries preparing to join the
European Union.
